This morning, American Lawyer Report Joshua Schiller, the son of Jonathan Schiller of Boies Schiller, was arrested in Rose, California last night on domestic violence charges.
Having said that, Schiller’s lawyers are confident that the charges will be dropped soon.
“I fully expect the fee to drop. This is a misunderstanding.” Joshua Schiller’s lawyer and California defense attorney Douglas Horngrad said in a statement.
Horngrad also provided a joint statement from Joshua and Melissa Siebel Schiller: “This is a private matter between us. We love and respect each other. We are partners, We will surpass together.”
Nevertheless, this is still an unfortunate title in a company’s organizational structure adjustment. After several years of expansion, the company has seen a new direction of development. Schiller is currently an administrative partner on the West Coast because the company’s operations in California have shrunk last year.
Business Insider Report Schiller was dismissed in 2017 for “improper comments” to a colleague, but this was the first such incident of domestic violence.
When commenting on this, the company stated:
The company is already aware of recent events related to our partner Josh Schiller. Although he and his wife informed us that this was a misunderstanding, the company will conduct its own review to better understand what happened. While conducting the review, Josh asked for leave to focus on his family, and we agreed to give it to him this time.
